Fall Greetings to everyone! We are excited to be planning our fabulous Fall Social, taking place on Friday, October 17, 6:30 to 9:30 pm, at Whispering Oaks in Norwalk. Tickets are $45 through the day of the event, and $55 at the door. Be sure to get your tickets soon– don’t miss out on what will be a wonderful night of live jazz, drinks, food, 50/50 and gift basket raffles, silent auction items, and a very special exhibition of Silvermine Art Colony paintings from the private collections of experts and authors Ed Vollmer and Susan Gunn-Bromley. I’ve seen many of these works of art and they are sure to delight everyone that night. The winning photos from our 2025 Silvermine Photo Contest, to be announced at the Social, will be featured in our popular wall calendar– a great holiday gift idea!
For those who are crafts-minded, Meghann Smith, of Meghann Smith Designs in New Canaan, will be hosting a small group for our next Passion Pod on Fall Wreath-Making. A light brunch will be served. She is a warm and gracious host who will provide the materials and teach us how to make a wreath using items from her garden. Our creation comes home with us. Register on the Events page. I’ll be there and look forward to having fun with fellow Silverminers passionate about making beautiful things. In the meantime, see you around the neighborhood as our area’s kaleidoscope of rustic tones takes over and wows us all.
