The autumn season kicked off with a bang with our Fall Social— a resounding success by all measures. We had 125 attendees (the most ever!) and raised the largest amount in a single event for our Silvermine Scholarship Fund. I can only smile when I think of all the happy Silverminers gathered that night. I’m so very proud of the event team who brought it all to life with great style! What’s coming up? Our first Member Survey will be launched via e-mail the week of 11/10. We’d love your feedback! For the first time, we are participating in Giving Tuesday on 12/2. Please contribute on this special day to the SCA Scholarship Fund– if everyone gives a little, no one person has to give a lot. A peek into December— on 12/4 Meghann Smith, floral designer extraordinaire, and I will be hosting a Passion Pod focused on holiday centerpiece-making and gift-wrapping. Your SCA Board has already kicked off the planning team for our famous and VERY popular Santa’s Silvermine Christmas Eve Visit. This special tradition is only available to SCA members so be sure to renew or sign up before then. We are about 50 members away from reaching our membership goal of 300 by year-end.
