As we just celebrated the “unofficial” beginning of Summer on Memorial Day, I want to wish everyone a bright and beautiful season filled with sunshine, family and friends, and lots of fun activities. The SCA has a few events in store for everyone, beginning with our Silvermine-wide Tag Sales on Saturday, June 7. My husband and I are holding one at our house so we hope to see you on Silver River Court in Norwalk on the 7th. And in a completely unique SCA offering– Board member Tony Bellomy is hosting a production of Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? on Saturday, June 14…in his living room (!) on Bissell Lane in Silvermine. Join fellow SCA theater-lovers for a dramatic evening of terrific performances. On Saturday, June 21 Silverminer Meghann Smith, of Meghann Smith Designs, is welcoming floral lovers to create unique arrangements from flowers we’ll forage from her private garden. There are only a couple of seats left! This is part of a fairly new SCA event type called Passion Pods. They’re small gatherings of SCA members united in a passion for a specific hobby, skill or interest. What’s your passion? Drop me a line if YOU are interested in hosting a Pod to build community throughout Silvermine. See you at an upcoming event!
